Ruoyu Li (Chinese: 黎 若宇), a Los Angeles-based director of photography, finds creative fuel in his unique upbringing as a single child in Guangzhou, China.

Driven by a stubborn love for the art of filmmaking, he began his cinematic adventure in the United States in 2013. He pursued a Bachelor's degree in film production from the University of Utah, and later went on to achieve a Master's degree in Film and Media Art from Emerson College in Boston in 2021.

Ruoyu has contributed to a diverse range of projects, including short films, commercials, branded content, and feature films. His artistic vision has been featured at esteemed film festivals around the world, including Slamdance, Aspen, Cannes Court Metrage, and Florida Film Festival among others.
